NPP’s Next National Chairman Has To Come From Ashanti Region – Chairman Wontumi

The Ashanti regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Bernard Antwi-Boasiako, is proposing that the next National Chairman of his party has to come from the Ashanti region.

Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako popularly known as Chairman Wontumi, stated that from his checks in the NPP records, nobody from the region has risen and occupied the position of a National Chairman.

Speaking to Oheneba Nana Asiedu on Wontumi TV, Chairman Wontumi stated that “nobody from Asahnti region has been national chairman before”.

He touted his achievement as constituency and regional Chairman of the NPP that qualifies him to be the next National Chairman of the NPP.

“They want someone who has been constituency chairman and know the ropes. I have been regional chairman as well, and it has given me the experience”, he said.

Chairman Wontumi continued that a win for him as National Chairman of the NPP, is a win for the “grass root”.

“I belong to every society. I am the people’s chairman”, he simply put.
