No 3rd Term For President Mahama- Minority Leader To NDC “Hawks”

The Minority leader, Alexander Afenyo-Markin, has vowed to crack the whip and crash any attempt by President John Mahama to stage a third term presidential bid.

“Ghana is not a monarch we won’t be ruled for life”, he said as he appealed to the conscience of President Mahama and the NDC to embrace democracy.

In an address to access the first 120 days of President John Mahama’s government, the leader of the minority in parliament stated that they are prepared to thwart and make unsuccessful plans by some “hawks” in the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to force Mr. Mahama on Ghanaians again after his tenure has ended.

“We the minority today tell the NDC government that they will never have their way”, he warned.
His described the plans of the NDC as “diabolical” and added that the New Patriotic Party (NDC) has picked up vital signals to address the matter.

Hon. Afenyo- Markin continued that the minority were not ready to negotiate and watch on for President Mahama’s desire for “autocracy” and “unchecked power” rewrite the country’s constitution.

He finally advised the “hawks” in the NDC to stay their hands and allow democracy thrive.
