The New Supreme Court Judges Appointed By Mahama Were Vetted At NDC Party Headquarters – Hon Baafi

The seven (7) new persons appointed by President John Mahama to be considered to serve at the Supreme Court were all vetted at the National Democratic Congress’ (NDC’s) headquaters, Hon. Michael Okyere Baafi has said.

“The seven judges were vetted at NDC party headquarters”, he said.

The Member of Parliament for New Juaben South  also revealed that all seven judges were card bearing members of the NDC

“They are all card bearing members of the NDC”, he said on Movement TV on Monday, May 5th, 2025.

He asserts that the nomination of the judges would create problem for the country since investors would have doubt about our justice system.

“It will create problem for the country in terms of investment. Investors would not believe in this government because they know if they have issues with it, the court won’t rule with transparency”, he explained.

President Mahama, in accordance with Article 144(2) of the 1992 Constitution of Ghana, has submitted his list of nominations to the Council of State for their consideration.

They are Justices Sir Dennis Dominic Adjei, Gbiel Simon Suurbaareh, Senyo Dzamefe, Kweku Tawiah Ackah-Boafo, Philip Bright Mensah, Janpere Bartels-Kodwo and Hafisata Ameleboba.
