A lecturer at the Kumasi Technical University, Dr. Solomon Kwarteng Forkuo, has criticized the National Democratic Congress’s (NDC) budget proposal, describing it as “Wagadri (full of lies)”.
According to Dr. Fokuo, the NDC’s budget proposal is riddled with inaccuracies and unrealistic projections. He alleged that the proposal fails to provide a clear plan for addressing their own campaign promises and country’s economic challenges, instead relying on overly optimistic assumptions.
Speaking on the Wontumi TV Morning Show, Dr Fokuo said, “The NDC’s budget proposal is a classic example of ‘Wagadrii economics’, “It’s full of lies, half-truths, and unrealistic assumptions.”
Dr. Fokuo noted that the government would choose to spend less to meet his budget so it’ll create more space for his priorities.
