NDC’s ‘Hopeless’ Budget Will Be The Best They’ll Get In Their Four-Year Tenure- Paul Yandoh

When You Google John Mahama, Corruption Cases Also Pop Up- Paul Yandoh

Ashanti Regional Communications Director of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Paul Yandoh, has strongly criticized the budget presented by the National Democratic Congress (NDC), citing unfulfilled promises and hypocrisy.

Speaking on Wontumi TV with Oheneba Nana Asiedu, Yandoh noted that the NDC made 273 promises in their manifesto, which they aim to deliver within their four-year term. He argued that this translates to 68 promises per year, yet only 12 were included in the budget presented by Finance Minister Ato Forson.

“This is a clear indication that the NDC has already failed in advancing their promises to Ghanaians,” Yandoh stated.

“Their manifesto was full of lofty promises, but it seems they are struggling to deliver on even a fraction of them.”

Yandoh also accused the NDC of hypocrisy, pointing to their promise of a lean government. During their campaign, the NDC criticized the Akufo-Addo administration for appointing 126 ministers, which they claimed put undue pressure on the government’s finances. However, Yandoh noted that despite promising a lean government, the NDC’s finance minister has requested a budget of 290 billion, exceeding Akufo-Addo’s request of 250 billion.

“This is a clear case of ‘do as I say, not as I do,'” Yandoh said. “The NDC’s actions are not matching their words, and Ghanaians deserve better.”
