Prez Mahama Indirectly confirming he can’t continue agenda 111 project – Dr Nsiah Asare

Former Director General of the Ghana Health Service, Dr Anthony Nsiah Asare, has accused President Mahama of attempting to discontinue the Agenda 111 project.

In an interview with Kumasi-based Wontumi TV, Dr. Nsia Asare, disputed President Mahama’s claim that completing the project would require $1.7 billion, insisting that the actual cost is $1.4 billion.

According to Dr. Asare, the transition team’s records clearly state the lower figure, casting doubt on the president’s claim. He believes the president’s inflated estimate is merely an excuse to discontinue the project, citing the high cost as a justification.

He said the president’s claim that only one of the Agenda 111 hospitals was completed by the previous government is false.

He emphasized the need for the president to ensure he gets his facts right before divulging any information to the people of Ghana.

Dr. Asare suggests that the fate of the Agenda 111 project hangs in the balance, pending the government’s budget allocation.

“The budget will reveal whether the NDC government plans to continue or discontinue the project”.

The project’s future remains uncertain, and the government’s budget will provide clarity on its intentions
