“Mahama Would Still Struggle with 5,000 Days” – Dr. Fokuo Slams President’s 54-Day Records

A lecturer at the Kumasi Technical University, Dr. Solomon Kwarteng Forkuo has condemned President Mahama’s performance just 54 days into his administration.
Speaking on Wontumi TV, Dr. Fokuo claimed that Mahama’s priority is to satisfy his party members, rather than serving the nation.

“Mahama has come to power to satisfy his party members, so they’ll be happy with what’s happening so far, but the reality on the ground is that thousands of workers have been sacked, the country is facing ‘Dumsor’ (power outages), and public sector workers have only received a 10% increment on their salaries.”

Dr. Fokuo also drew comparisons with the previous administration, led by Nana Addo, which he claimed provided a 25% increment for public sector workers. He questioned why Ghanaians would bring back Mahama, who was rejected in 2016 due to his poor performance.

“The same old Mahama who was rejected in 2016 by Ghanaians for his poor performance is the same person Ghanaians have brought back and Ghanaians will experience nothing new but worse. The president has nothing new to offer, but Ghanaians should enjoy the crisis, for that’s the outcome of their votes.”

However, Dr. Fokuo’s scathing criticism suggests that Mahama’s actions so far have fallen short of expectations.
