Paul Yandoh, the Ashanti Regional Communications Director of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has challenged the Attorney General (AG) to justify the purchase of ambulances by Ato Forson, as he was then, deputy finance Minister
Mr Yandoh alleged that the ambulances purchased under Ato Forson’s watch were a waste of state funds. He questioned the value for money and the overall benefit of the ambulances to the Ghanaian people.
He alleged that Dr. Ayine’s decision to drop charges against NDC members, including Ato Forson, Ofosu-Ampofo, and Ernest Thompson, was a deliberate attempt to clear them of wrongdoing
He cited the appeal by the State in Republic versus Ato Forson and 2 Others, Republic versus Ofosu-Ampofo & Another, and a case against Ernest Thompson and 2 Others as examples of Dr. Ayine’s pattern of case withdrawals.
“Ernest Thompson is said to have used 66 million Dollars to upgrade a software, Ato Forson purchased Suhum- Nsawam sprinter buses as ambulance for the state, the current Governor of Bank Of Ghana gave 400m Dollars to a collapsed Bank, you looked down upon all this and dropped his case to appoint him us Governor”
