An aide to Mrs. Samira Bawumia, Felix Appiah, has expressed concerns over the ministerial nominees for the Foreign Affairs and Health Ministry, Okudzeto Ablakwa and Mintah Akandoh.
Speaking with Kwaku Dawuro on Movement In The Morning show on Movement TV/ Wontumi Radio, Appiah alleges that the nominees have “criminal intent” and therefore requires the appointment committee to thoroughly vet them.
Appiah cited a past incident where Okudzeto Ablakwa leaked the president’s travel details, which could have potentially put the president at risk.
He commended the minority and Afenyo Markin for ensuring that the vetting of Ablakwa and Akandoh was postponed due to exhaustion.
Appiah questioned the rush in vetting the nominees, pointing out that Ken Ofori Atta’s vetting took three solid days.
He accused the NDC of trying to bully the process and expressed gratitude that the minority is resisting such attempts.
