The General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), says he doesn’t expect anybody to blame him for the electoral loss suffered by the party in 2024.
Lawyer Justin Kodua, says he is ready to provide answers which would insulate him from any wrong doings with regards to preparation towards the 2024 general elections.
“I am waiting for someone to blame me for our electoral loss”, he said in an exclusive interview on the Wontumi Morning Show.
As chief scribe of the NPP, he mentioned that he advised his party to elect their parliamentary candidates earlier so that they can have ample time to deal with any issue of reconciliation.
“I had the support of the MPs but the people in government said that it will affect government business”, he said.
He continued that the MPs promised him that if parliamentary elections were held earlier and they lose, they will come to parliament but faced opposition from the executive arm of government to implement it.
“I took the issue to council of elders and gave them our position. We proposed July for presidential and parliamentary election.
A committee was setup and they met national officers and told us we had a sane proposal. But when we went to national council meeting, the same committee gave a different date for the elections.
The head of the committee misled us and put the election in November”, he said.
