It appears the disagreements between the leader of the International God’s Way Church, Bishop Daniel Obinim, and his ex‑wife, Florence, are far from over, as a new audio from the preacher has surfaced online.
In the audio, sighted by GhanaWeb on September 14, 2026, Bishop Obinim made several strong statements about their just‑ended marriage.
While making such allegations, he stated that since he had accepted the drink Florence presented to signify divorce, they are no longer together and as such, she should remove his surname ‘Obinim’ from her name.
“You have embarrassed me, and I emphasise that when I die, don’t come to my funeral as a widow. Since I have accepted the drink, remove the name Obinim from your name,” he declared.
Among the allegations levelled by Bishop Obinim against his ex‑wife, Florence, was that she did not cook for him during their marriage.
According to him, it was Florence’s sister, Comfort, who handled most of the household chores.
He added that he had lost interest in the marriage long ago and remained in it only because of their children.
“How many times do you cook for me in seven days of the week? You don’t cook for me because it’s your sister, Comfort, who cooks for me. So I was no longer interested in the marriage, but I was forcing myself to be in it because you are the mother of my children.
“…and also because we have been married for some time now. Have you washed my clothes and bedsheets before? Do you even talk to me as a wife?” he said.
Obinim further admitted to having affairs outside the marriage, some lasting up to nine years, but insisted he was the one who ended them.
“I told you I lost interest in the marriage. While we were married, I was having affairs with other women, and the longest affair I have been with a woman was nine years. In fact, I was the one to break up with all these women, and the shortest dating period was five years.
“In fact, none of these women broke up with me. All of them were even crying, and I ended the relationship with them,” he revealed.
He also alleged that he and Florence did not share a bed at a point in their marriage and accused her of embarrassing him publicly.
“I have never missed you for once ever since I left you for the past two months. You don’t sleep beside me. When I was staying with you, you left my house around 6 AM and came home around 11 PM. I don’t even miss you because of sex,” he stated.
