Ghanaian musician Mzbel has expressed concern about her colleague Barosky’s situation, warning that returning to Ghana without a sustainable source of income could worsen his circumstances.
Speaking during a discussion on UTV’s United Showbiz, shared on September 2, 2026, Mzbel said she was unhappy with how Barosky’s situation became public.
“I’m not happy with the way this came out. I’ve just been thinking that someone should have spoken to someone who can communicate with us to help him, but the way it was all over, that’s not nice,” she said.
According to Mzbel, Barosky could face severe financial difficulties if he returns to Ghana without a job or family support.
“What is he coming to do in Ghana? Unless he has a family or he’s looking at a job that he’s coming to do, if not, he would be super homeless when he comes to Ghana,” she stated.
She further argued that Ghana’s homelessness situation is serious and urged Ghanaian authorities abroad to consider helping the musician secure employment.
“The homelessness crisis in Ghana is worse than abroad. Ghana High Commissioners should get him a job. They can even employ him since they sometimes do events; he can come and sing and perform there,” she suggested.
The musician also used Barosky’s situation to highlight the financial challenges that often confront entertainers as their careers slow down.
She noted that fame and success in the music industry do not necessarily guarantee long-term financial security.

“It’s sadder because people know he’s a musician. Some of these musicians don’t have financial security because fame cannot guarantee you financial security, so we have to do something in addition to the music,” she shared.
Mzbel advised musicians to invest wisely while they are still earning from their careers, warning that failure to do so could result in hardship in old age.
“No matter how much money you make and no matter how far you go, if you don’t invest well, by the time you grow old, your life would be miserable,” she cautioned.
She therefore advised Barosky not to return to Ghana at this point, but rather to seek employment abroad that could provide him with financial stability.
“Barosky shouldn’t come to Ghana. They should get him a job abroad so that it can sustain him for now. This is very sad and we, the musicians, should learn something from this,” Mzbel stated.
She added that musicians who relocate abroad without establishing a stable livelihood should consider returning home to continue building their careers.
“If you don’t have anything solid to do abroad, just go and come back,” she advised.
According to Mzbel, Barosky might also have had a better chance of rebuilding his music career in Ghana had he not relocated permanently.
“If he hadn’t moved there permanently, maybe he would get some artistes featuring him and one way or the other, the songs would be a hit,” she added.
