The campaign coordinator for Hon. Dr. Henry Kwabena Kokofu-Esq, Mr. Kofi Agyei, popularly known as “Away Bus”, has come out in praise of his candidate, saying the former Member of Parliament (MP) for Bantama has what it takes to lead the NPP in the region because of his competencies and experience across several portfolios.
Speaking on their next plan of action in terms of campaigning, the campaign coordinator said Hon. Kokofu’s experience as a polling station executive, an MP, and a former boss of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) makes him the best candidate among the field.
“Hon. Kokofu has been a polling station executive, an MP, and an EPA boss, so he is consistent and capable. His track record shows,” he said.
“He is the one who organised the last internal regional election,” Mr. Agyei added.
He made the statement to counter critics who say Hon. Kokofu lacks consistency and cannot lead the party because he lacks focus and decisiveness.
On what they intend to do in the coming days, Mr. Agyei said the campaign team has planned to visit 34 constituencies in the region within one week.
He said this will help them liaise better with delegates and provide a platform to build stronger relationships. According to him, they intend to cover five constituencies in the coming days, starting with Obuasi on Friday.
