Former Majority Leader and veteran New Patriotic Party (NPP) stalwart, Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu, has praised Ashanti Regional Chairman of the party, Bernard Antwi Boasiako, popularly known as Chairman Wontumi, for his exceptional ability to connect with and energize crowds during political engagements.
Speaking in an interview with Parker Wilson on Oyerepa TV, Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu recounted his experience touring the Ashanti Region alongside former Vice President and NPP flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, during the party’s campaign activities.
According to him, the atmosphere at campaign events often transformed dramatically whenever Chairman Wontumi joined the team.
“I was touring with Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia when Chairman Wontumi joined us in the Ashanti Region. The atmosphere immediately changed, and all attention shifted to Chairman Wontumi.”Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu stated.
The former Suame MP explained that Wontumi’s presence consistently generated excitement among supporters and attracted significant public attention wherever he appeared.
“He can excite and engage the crowd wherever he goes,” he noted. “Chairman Wontumi is truly the mass of masses.”
