Counsel for Bernard Antwi Boasiako, popularly known as Chairman Wontumi, Lawyer Kwame Gyan, has spoken after today’s court proceedings in the ongoing trial.
According to him, the defence presented its third witness, Member of Parliament and former Western Regional Minister, Hon. Kwabena Okyere Darko-Mensah, who testified in support of the accused.
Lawyer Gyan stated that the defence also tendered video evidence before the court, which was admitted by the judge. He added that the matter was then left for the prosecution to begin cross-examination of the witness.
He further revealed that during proceedings, the prosecution only asked the witness to state his name before requesting an adjournment of the case.
The court subsequently adjourned the matter to Monday, June 1, 2026.
