A member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Amponsah Agyemang Akowuah, has described the party’s Ashanti Regional Chairman, Bernard Antwi Boasiako, popularly known as Chairman Wontumi, as “overqualified” to serve as the party’s National Chairman.
Speaking in an interview with Nana Bee on Patriotic Agenda on Movement TV, Mr. Akowuah praised Chairman Wontumi’s leadership record, grassroots mobilization skills, and unwavering commitment to the party, insisting that his experience makes him well-suited for the top national position.
According to him, Wontumi has demonstrated exceptional organizational strength in the Ashanti Region, which remains the stronghold of the NPP. He argued that the chairman’s ability to energize party supporters and coordinate winning strategies during elections distinguishes him from his peers.
