Antoine Semenyo Scores As Man City Boost Title Hopes With Crystal Palace Win

Antoine Semenyo nets 16th Premier League goal as Manchester City beat Crystal Palace to close gap on Arsenal

Antoine Semenyo netted his 16th Premier League goal of the season to inspire Manchester City to victory against Crystal Palace and cut Arsenal’s lead at the top of the table to two points.

The Citizens have been neck-and-neck with the Gunners this season, and the Ghana international knew they could not afford to drop points against Crystal Palace on Wednesday evening.

Semenyo opened the scoring after finishing an exquisite backheel assist from Englishman Phil Foden in the 32nd minute.

Foden, who was making a rare start this season, delivered another assist to set up Egyptian Omar Marmoush, who doubled City’s advantage just before half-time.

After the break, Savinho sealed the win with a fine finish as City ran out 3-0 winners at the Etihad.

Meanwhile, Semenyo could win his second domestic title of the season when City face Chelsea in the FA Cup final on Sunday.

The 26-year-old is enjoying his best campaign in the English top flight, making his 20th goal contribution in the 2025/26 season.
