Ghanaian rapper, M.anifest, has shared his thoughts ahead of the much-anticipated Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMAs), the most talked-about category.
In a post shared on X and sighted by GhanaWeb on May 5, 2026, M.anifest, in a cryptic tweet, called some industry individuals and music lovers hypocrites.
According to the acclaimed rapper, some industry individuals hate the truth.
He explained that there is a specific artiste, whose name he failed to mention, who deserves to win the Artiste of the Year category.
“It’s painfully obvious who should be artist of the year. But mo mpɛ nokware baako sei,” he said.
Meanwhile, organisers of the Telecel Ghana Music Awards TGMAS, Charterhouse Productions, have announced that the 27th edition of the annual event will now be held at the Grand Arena of the Accra International Conference Centre on Saturday, May 9, 2026.
This comes after the event had initially been scheduled for the Palms Convention Centre at the La Palm Royal Beach Resort.
The confirmation, contained in a press release dated Tuesday, May 5, 2026, brings the awards back to their ‘home’ of 6 years, with Charterhouse describing the Grand Arena as purpose-built to support the dynamic staging, broadcast, and audience engagement requirements that define the ceremony.
