Antonio Rüdiger Reportedly Slaps Carreras In Heated Dressing Room Altercation

Tensions within Real Madrid’s dressing room have come under fresh scrutiny following reports of a heated confrontation between Antonio Rüdiger and teammate Álvaro Carreras at Valdebebas.

According to Onda Cero, the incident stemmed from a disagreement over attitude during a difficult period for the club.

The report alleges that Rüdiger, known for his intense and demanding approach, became frustrated during the exchange and slapped the young Spaniard.

However, teammates quickly stepped in to prevent the situation from escalating further.

While the altercation is not believed to have resulted in any serious physical harm, it has added to concerns about the atmosphere within the squad.

The dressing room is said to have been strained in recent months, with reports pointing to ego clashes, internal disagreements, and a growing disconnect between players and members of the coaching staff.

The friction between Rüdiger and Carreras is not entirely new. Back in April 2026, cameras from DAZN captured a verbal exchange between the two during a match against Mallorca.

Following the opposition’s opening goal, Rüdiger was seen confronting Carreras, urging him to be more aggressive defensively, telling him: “Man! You’re a defender. You need to press harder.”
