RESCHEDULING OF FADOS PEACEFUL DEMONSTRATION
The Forum for Accountability and Development of Sefwi (FADOS) wishes to inform the general public, cocoa farmers, stakeholders, and all well-meaning citizens that our intended peaceful demonstration earlier scheduled for Tuesday, 24th February, 2026 has been rescheduled to Thursday, 19th February, 2026.
New Date: Thursday, 19th February, 2026
Time: 8:00 a.m. sharp
Assembly Point: GOIL Filling Station, Sefwi Dwenase
Route: GOIL Filling Station → Tanos → back to Dwenase
End Point: In front of the COCOBOD Office, Dwenase
This demonstration is to peacefully register our dissatisfaction over the persistent delay in the release of funds for cocoa purchases, which has caused severe hardship to cocoa farmers in our communities.
We assure the general public that this exercise will be peaceful, orderly, and law-abiding.
We urge all participants to conduct themselves responsibly and comply with directives from the Ghana Police Service.
We call on cocoa farmers, youth groups, civil society organizations, and all concerned citizens to join us in this peaceful and lawful demonstration.
Together, let us demand accountability and fairness for our hardworking farmers.
