“Stop Using Security to Intimidate Critics” — Ackom Fires at NDC

A member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), George Ackom, has accused the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) of using state security agencies to silence opposition voices.

Speaking on the Wontumi Morning Show hosted by Kweku Kyeremanteng Nkansah, he described the current political atmosphere as intolerant.

“The NDC’s current posture towards criticism is both unfair and hypocritical,” he said.

He claimed critics are being targeted for speaking out.

“If anyone speaks against them today, they send security personnel after the person,” he alleged.

Mr. Ackom warned that such actions could undermine Ghana’s democracy.

“This could lead to a dangerous cycle of revenge politics,” he cautioned.
