NDC Has Abandoned Projects And Failed Ghanaians— Agyei

A member of NPP communications team, Mr. Kweku Agyei has criticized the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), citing what he describes as poor governance decisions and a lack of continuity in development projects.

Speaking on Wontumi Morning Show with host Oheneba Nana Asiedu, Agyei expressed disappointment in the Ashanti Region’s voting pattern despite infrastructure investments under former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

“Despite the road infrastructure developed in the Ashanti Region, the people still voted against the NPP. That is very sad,” he stated.

He also criticized President John Dramani Mahama’s appointment of Dr. Frank Amoakohene as Ashanti Regional Minister.

“The appointment is a failure to the good people of the Ashanti Region. He has not prioritized meaningful development,” Agyei said.

Agyei further accused sections of the media of bias, questioning their silence on what he described as wasteful spending under the current administration.

“Why are the same media houses that criticized the previous government now quiet?” he asked.

He stressed that several projects initiated by the previous administration have not been continued, emphasizing the need for continuity in governance.

“You don’t abandon projects simply because there has been a change in government,” he noted.

Agyei also raised concerns about youth apathy and misinformation, while casting doubt on the NDC’s flagship policies, including the proposed 24-hour economy.

“We are yet to see any tangible results,” he said.

He concluded by urging Ghanaians to reconsider their political choices and give the NPP another opportunity.

“We may have made mistakes, but we are ready to correct them and move the country forward,” he appealed.
