78% Of MMDCE’s Are Not Popular Within Their Constituencies- Adams Sabo on Akufo-Addo’s Response To The Call For Reshuffling

The former Greater Accra regional Secretary for the New Patriotic Party, Adams Sabo, has said 78% of the metropolitan, municipal and district chief executives (MMDCEs) are not liked in their various constituencies because they are non performing, making the demand for reshuffling significant.

He said this when he joined Kwaku Dawuro on Movement In The Morning Show while adding his voice to President Akufo-Addo’s response to the call for reshuffling.

He said that ‘’the future of the party depends on this current government. We used President Kufuor’s achievement to win the 2016. Some of the grassroot members do not need money, they only need attention- but they are snubbed when getting closer . 78% of the mmdces are not popular in their constituencies and this mostly happens at the Party’s stronghold-they take party members for granted. Some of the mmdcs are not in talking terms with their MP’s and that has led to division in the constituency”.

‘’The call for reshuffling is very important for the 2024 elections. What happened at the Accra sports stadium is a clear indication that if we don’t do something about this reshuffle, we will have a difficult task to perform. Government will rekindle when the reshuffle happens. I still have hope in the current leadership of the party’’, he added.

Mr Sabo stated that the reshuffle will do the party good than harm.
