Hearts of Oak have appointed Serbian manager Slavko Matic as the substantive head coach of the club.
The 46-year-old replaces Samuel Boadu, who left the club via a mutual agreement with management in late September.
He will be assisted by David Ocloo, who was appointed in early October to lead the team through its CAF Confederation Cup matches against AS Real Bamako.
It will be Matic’s first job with an African club having previously managed teams in Serbia, China and Qatar among others. His last head coaching job was with Bulgarian second tier side Septemvri Sofia, a club he joined in early 2022.
The Phobians are yet to win a Ghana Premier League game this season, recording one defeat and two draws.
