The Ashanti Regional Chairman for the Great Consolidated Popular Party (GCPP), Kofi Owusu Omar, has praised Sammy Gyamfi for doing his best for the National Democratic Congress as National Communications Officer.
The National Director of Communications for the opposition National Democratic Congress is on record to have heavily criticized some elders in his party for approving some ministerial nominees of President Akufo-Addo in Parliament.
In a Facebook post, Sammy Gyamfi, without mincing words, described Minority Leader Haruna Iddrisu; the Minority Chief Whip, Muntaka Mubarak; and the NDC-backed Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin, as having betrayed the party for their selfish interests.
Speaking on the Wontumi Morning Show, Chairman Kofi Owusu Omar noted that Sammy Gyamfi as national executive of the NDC was simply reacting in a way to give NDC supporters hope that they were still in charge and held a huge say when it comes to what goes on in government.
According to him, Sammy Gyamfi’s statement were true but the manner in which he said it was wrong.
Chairman Omar continued that despite the loathe Sammy Gyamfi will receive, he could confidently state that 70% of NDC members were praising him for what he has said.
