7 Persons Die As Boat Capsizes In Volta River
Seven persons have been reported dead after a boat they were travelling on capsized in the Volta River Thursday evening.
They were on board with 21 other passengers who were travelling from Dzemeni to Havorkope in the Kwahu Afram Plains North District of the Eastern Region.
Eastern Regional Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Emmanuel Tetteh confirmed the sad incident to Wontumionline.com.
DSP Emmanuel Tetteh said thirteen persons have been rescued.
The bodies of the deceased have since been deposited at the morgue while investigations have been launched.
