4 Years Tenure Debate: Wontumi Cites Prof Joshua Alabi To Expose John Mahama

Chairman Wontumi has asked former President John Mahama to stop flip-flopping and ridiculing himself on the matter of presidential tenure system in Ghana.

The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in a studio interview on Wontumi TV and radio, which was broadcasted live on four (4) other television stations, stated that Mr. Mahama was sounding confused on the tenure system the constitution allocates to every regime.

Chairman Wontumi pointed out that few years ago; the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) stated that 4 years isn’t enough for any government to make any meaningful impact on the economy.

After making the above statement, Mr. Mahama has been caught now saying 4 years is enough for him to rule and make meaningful impact on Ghana’s economy.

His contradictory statement didn’t go unnoticed by Chairman Wontumi who has stated that the “tongue never dies” and that Mr. Mahama wants to misbehave with if Ghana’s economy is entrusted in his hands.

He relied on an old video of Prof Joshua Alabi who was seen encouraging members of the NDC to reject John Mahama as their flagbearer because if voted for, he would have only 4 years to serve the party which wouldn’t augur well for them.
