VIDEO: MTN Launches “Ashantifest” In Kumasi, Hints To Inject $207m In Network Infrastructure

Telecom Giant, MTN Ghana is set to inject 207 million US Dollars into its network infrastructure this year to meet the increasing demand for data in the country.

The amount, according to MTN Ghana General Manager for the Northern Sector, Nii Adotey Mingle would be the teleco’s biggest capital investment in a single year, within the last 10 to 15 years to enhance its existing infrastructure.

He made this known today 9/09/2021 at the launch of the 11th Ashantifest in Kumasi at its Nhyiaeso main office.

This year’s Ashantifest coincides with the 25th anniversary of MTN.

“This significant event allows us to deepen customer relationships and foster business connections and growth,” he stressed.

Nii Adotey Mingle noted that the network has witnessed exponential growth in data and mobile money subscriptions since the emergence of the COVID-19 pandemic, hence the need for the massive investment into the infrastructure to sustain the gains.
