The Black Stars of Ghana kicked off their preparations for the upcoming 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers with their first training session on Monday afternoon.
The team is getting ready for two important matches this month, where they will face Angola and Niger in the opening games of Group F.
On Monday, September 2, the senior national team gathered in Accra to begin their training camp, focusing on sharpening their tactics and fostering team unity.
Ten players participated in the initial session at the Accra Sports Stadium, including Thomas Partey, Tariq Lamptey, Joseph Wollacott, Ibrahim Osman, Jonas Adjetey, Antoine Semenyo, Brandon Thomas-Asante, Frederick Asare, Ebenezer Annan, and Abdul Fatawu Issahaku.
The remaining invited players are expected to join the camp later on Monday evening.
Ghana’s first qualifying match against Angola is scheduled for Thursday, September 5, at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium. After that, the Black Stars will take on Niger in their second qualifier.
