Norwich midfielder, Forson Amankwah, has earned a late call-up to the Black Stars squad for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
The former WAFA man was a doubt for the qualifiers after suffering a shoulder injury in Norwich’s defeat to Crystal Palace in the English Football League Cup.
However, he has recovered in time to make the squad for the games against Angola and Niger.
The former RB Salzburg midfielder is expected to arrive in Ghana later today, September 3, 2024, and join the squad in Kumasi.
Black Stars held their first training on Monday, September 2 and are expected to depart to Kumasi today to continue preparations.
Ghana will face Angola in their Group E opener on Thursday, September 5 at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
The team will visit Niger for their second game in the qualifiers, slated for September 9.
