The General Secretary for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has confessed being overwhelmed and confused by the results the recorded after the 2024 general elections.
Lawyer Justin Kodua stated in an exclusive interview on the Wontumi Morning Show that “the defeat overwhelmed me”.
“It took my about a month after the December 7th elections, for me to talk to the media. Personally, I was down because of the results. It was beyond my imagination…this margin and the number of seats we lost got me confused”.
He outlined that one of his cardinal campaign message before becoming General Secretary of the NPP was in 2020 the NPP had many issues with regards to parliamentary primaries.
“In some constituencies people were rejected indiscriminately. Others couldn’t even get forms to contest and it went against the party”.
As General Secretary, he revealed that he took it upon himself to run and a free and fair parliamentary primaries for the party to remove those issues and related ones.
