Nigerian Jailed 450 Days For Attempting To Acquire Ghanaian Passport Twice

A Madina District Court has sentenced Peter Michael Ifaenyi aka Peter Yaw Asare, a Nigerian Computer Engineer, to 450 days imprisonment for attempting to obtain a Ghanaian Passport twice. Ifaenyi, 26, who was charged with attempting to obtain Ghanaian passports by false declaration, pleaded guilty. The Court therefore sentenced him on his own plea and handed down a custodial sentence without an option of a fine. Prosecution led by Chief Superintendent of Immigration Adolf Assenso, informed the court that accused person was known for his wanton disregard for authority. WAEC Releases 2022 BECE Results; Entire Results Of 73 Candidates Cancelled

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has released the provisional results of candidates who sat for the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) for both School and Private Candidates in 2022. A statement issued by WAEC on January 25 said the Council will dispatch the results of school candidates to their respective schools through the Metropolitan/Municipal/District Directors of Education. Candidates can also access their results on the council’s website www.waecgh.org The entire results of 73 school candidates and 7 private candidates have been cancelled for bringing mobile phones into the examination hall.
