Court Orders For Pregnancy Test Of Woman Convicted In ¢50k Theft Before Sentence

An Accra Circuit has deferred the sentence of a 36-year-old woman who admitted to stealing GH¢50,000 belonging to her employer. The Court presided over by Mr Kwabena Koduah Obiri-Yeboah ordered for a pregnancy test to be conducted on Joyce Enyonam Dedei before she was handed sentence. Dedei pleaded guilty to stealing and was convicted on her own plea. She has been remanded into Police custody to reappear on February 1, 2023. Man Butchered By Unknown Assailants At Krofrom In Ashanti Region

A young man in his early 30s has been butchered by unknown assailants at Krofrom in the Ashanti Region. Eyewitnesses say the incident occurred around 7:00pm on Tuesday. Residents suspect a revenge attack by the assailants a year after the deceased harmed their colleague. The deceased is only known as ‘Candy’ in the Krofrom community. Residents who witnessed the alleged murder say the deceased died after receiving multiple cutlass wounds from the assailants.
