The Director General of the Ghana Aids Commission, Dr Kyeremeh Atuahene, has revealed shockingly that about 100,000 Ghanaians have contracted HIV but oblivious. Dr Kyeremeh Atuahene said those people are spreading the disease. Appearing on the Privilege Morning Show on Wontumi TV, he urged each individual to perform a test to know their status. He said unlike the previous years there is now medicine to reduce the spread of the virus in the blood. The Ghana Aids Commission has bemoaned that fears have escalated in a section of Ghanaians following the recent report that several people have tested positive for the virus. Recently it was reported that a total of 23,495 people in Ghana tested positive for HIV in the first half of this year (January to June).
