The Public Interest and Accountability Committee (PIAC), has urged managers of the District Assemblies Common Fund (DACF) to prudently manage revenues allocated to them from the Annual Budget Funding Amount (ABFA). The National Executives Council of the Senior Staff Association-Universities of Ghana (SSA-UoG), has suspended its strike. The group on July 13, 2022, joined other unions to demand the payment of 20% Cost of Living Allowance (COLA). The strike continued after government agreed to pay the COLA. The association said it had other outstanding issues. It cited the non-payment of tier 2 pension arrears and contractual agreements among the reasons why their industrial action was still in full force. The National Road Safety Authority (NRSA) has called on the public to report any act of misconduct by staff of the Authority including bribery to the Road Safety Information Centre for appropriate redress. Ghanaians Becoming Less Satisfied With Ghana’s Democracy – Afrobarometer Report

Ghanaians are becoming increasingly less satisfied with the outcomes of democracy in the country. While the demand for democracy and the perceived supply of democracy in Ghana have fluctuated over the years, satisfaction with the country’s democracy has been on a downward trajectory since 2017. The marginally increased desire for democracy was reflected in 50 percent of Ghanaians as against 48 percent of Ghanaians over the last four years, according to an Afrobarometer report. On Monday July 25 Delta flight 9923 from New York JFK to Accra, Ghana headed out over the Atlantic and then diverted back due to fuel issues.
