2020 Elections: Kelvin Taylor Influenced Mahama To Go To Court- Wontumi Reveals
“One of John Mahama’s girlfriends called me and told me that, John Mahama didn’t want to challenge the 2020 election results at the Supreme Court but Kelvin Taylor Influenced him,” Chairman Wontumi has revealed.
Speaking in an interview with the host of the Nsempa Fie Political programme on Wontumi Radio/TV, the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the NPP hinted that, the pro NDC Broadcaster, Kelvin Taylor is using John Mahama as a yardstick.
“Because of the lockdown in the UK amidst the outbreak of the COVID-19, John Mahama sends Kelvin Taylor money while some NDC members and supporters who campaigned vigorously for him are in Ghana suffering,” he further revealed.
However, Chairman Wontumi mocked that, because of how the NPP lawyers dealt with Lawyer Abraham Amaliba concerning the Assin- North parliamentary seat case at court, he can say he is brilliant than him.
“Exam should be conducted for the two of us and let’s see who will win,” he said.
The Bono Regional Chairman of the NPP, Abronye said that, Lawyer Amaliba could not explain why the NDC candidate for Assin-North could not renounce his Ghanaian citizenship on time but channeled the cause to COVID-19.
According to Abronye, a top NDC member has told him that, the Party doesn’t have a case at the Supreme Court so their lawyers have started playing inferior tactics.
” NDC don’t have a strong case at the Supreme Court so they have started accusing the judges.”
“Amaliba asked the Chief Justice, Annin Yeboah why he selected 7 judges for the election petition case because in the 2013’s own, 9 judges sat on it. I’m also asking Amaliba what made the Chief Justice in John Mahama’s era to also select 9 Judges for the 2013 elections from the many judges?”
Chairman Wontumi said that, he is hoping the Lawyers of Nana Akufo-Addo and the Attorney General will win the election petition case for Ghanaians.
