President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo, has sent a subliminal message to the National Democratic Congress and some doubting Thomas over his decision to build 111 district hospitals across the country in his second term.

Dressed in a neatly pressed African print for the ceremony, the coded message that came from Akufo-Addo’s wardrobe was ‘I have secured money to commence the project’.

The master of ceremony for the event, Kwame Adinkra, explained to the gathering that the reason the President chose the attire for the occasion was to inform his doubters that he has the ability to ensure the dream to build the 111 hospitals comes to fruition.

“When the President speaks, he sometimes uses parables. He also uses his wardrobe to speak to us. He has spotted a fabric which is speaking to us”, Kwame Adinkra said in an event which was telecast live on Wontumi TV.

On Tuesday, August 17,2021, President Akufo-Addo commenced the  Agenda 111 hospital projects in the Ashanti Region.

The project was first announced in April last year by President Akufo-Addo during his Covid-19 address.

Information Minister, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah has made it public that government is advancing $100 million for the project to commence.

In an interaction with the media, he stated that “currently, the commencement of $100 million has been made available to the project through the Ghana Infrastructure Investment Fund. For the project themselves, it is budgeted at nearly $17 million for each district Hospitals.”
